Linerless Scales for Civivi Vision FG - Machined 6061 Aluminum - Lightweight - READ description

Dear Customers, For those of you who want linerless scales for your Vision FG. I will now require you to send me your knife for fitting.

The reality is that the Vision FG is a mass produced knife. On occasion tolerances of knives will differ from my development knives. I suspect the lockbar grinds and/or the blade. Only a 0.01mm difference can cause the lock to stick. The fit needs to be exact or you may experience issues with your lock. My best solution is to tailor a set to your knife.

In this way I can provide the best possible fit and lock function.  If you don't have a Vision yet, you can ship it directly to me from your preferred retailer. If you would rather. 

This listing is for a set of scales/handles compatible with the Civivi Vision FG. These scales are machined from 6061 Aluminum. They are designed to delete the steel liners and the liners cannot be used with these scales. As a result the overall weight of the knife will be significantly decreased. A factory knife weights approximately 4.4oz. With these scales installed the weight will be ~2.7-2.8oz.

There will be various patterns and finishes to choose from and they come as right hand carry by default. "w/SH" refers to speed holes. if you want LH carry or clip inset deleted, please email me. 

• Weathered finish entails abrasive blasting and then manually weathering the scales.
• Tumbled finish entails abrasive blasting and then tumbling with SS pin media.
• Sand blasted finish entails just blasting with aluminum oxide. This finish does not hide scratches well. I would only recommend if you want to apply your own finish.

I'm now offering some Cerakote finish options. Choose between the uncoated various styles or Cerakote. Both are not possible.

 IMPORTANT: Machined after your knife is received. Current lead time for machining is anywhere from 1 to 5 business days. Cerakote scales may take up to 1 week!!! This is because I try to wait for multiple sets of scales to coat at once. It just depends though. I try to get orders out quick and like to have a cushion just in case. This is separate from the shipping time. Please keep in mind when ordering.

Install the scales as he does in this video. Put all hardware into show side scale first. Place blade in open position. Then place on clip side scale. At first it may seem as if it's difficult for the blade stop pin to snap into place. Do not force it. Like in the video, slightly press on the lock bar will squeezing the scale and it will snap right into place. You will need common tools for knife maintenance such as T8,T6 Torx bits. You will need to be comfortable disassembling and reassembling your knife. Make sure the pivot is aligned correctly with the notch machined into the scale. Keep in mind that the threads for the front pocket clip screw are aluminum. To avoid cross threading, make sure to start each screw first before tightening fully.

 These scales are machined in house by myself. By purchasing these, you're supporting a very small, American business. Thank you. The Knife is not included. The knife is to demonstrate the scales only. KNIFE SCALE RETURN POLICY: I offer a warranty for the scales. If by chance your scales have some sort of defect that I did not notice. I will repair it or replace. If you simply want to return the scales you will NOT get a full refund. This is because each set is tailored to your knife and I likely cannot resell them.
