This attachment is made to fit the Worksharp Precision adjust guide rod. **Added a version to fit the new Professional unit with the 6mm guide rod.**
This attachment features a rounded face to allow for easier sharpening of recurve or hawkbill type blades. It is meant to be used with Wet/Dry style sand paper. You can also use the lapping films with pressure sensitive adhesive. I
t features two differing diameter drum surfaces. One 20mm radius and a 10mm radius for smaller knives. I recommend use of 3M wet/dry 3-2/3" by 9" sand paper sheets. The sheet can should be cut in half to better fit drum.
To use:
Place edge of sandpaper down in slot.
Tightly wrap paper around respective drum surface and to opposite side.
Place handle firmly down onto sandpaper.
Tighten handle screws. (2.5mm Allen key required and is not supplied.)
Place WS guide rod through attachment hole respective to the drum side you chose.
As sandpaper wears, adjust as needed. I recommend that you use the marker method to mark your edge and to make sure you have the appropriate angle. Use of an angle cube would be beneficial as well.
