This stone holder is compatible with the new Worksharp Professional Precision Adjust system. While the design is almost identical to stone holder I offer for the regular Worksharp Precision Adjust, the rod size is different. So it is not backwards compatible.
The Worksharp Professional Precision Adjust is a great sharpening system. However, it lacks stone selection. This product is designed to allow use of many of the 4-6" stones on the market along with the Worksharp Professional Precision Adjust system. You will be able to use popular stones from suppliers like KME, Venev, Gritomatic, DMT and even Spyderco.
To use:
Loosen adjustment screw.
Place selected stone, centered.
Tighten screw.
It’s best to leave stopper screw off bottom of rod when using 6” stones. Also, be sure the adjustment knob is facing towards the unit. That way the guide screw will not lose contact with the guide rod.
When in use; tighten bolt until it just touches the body of stone holder, then 1/10 to 1/8 turn more. It does not feel like much but is more than adequate to hold the stone secure.
If you feel lubrication is needed on your Worksharp rod, use only PTFE or Teflon dry lube. I prefer WD-40 Specialist PTFE dry lube.

The items are created one small layer at a time. You may notice the layer lines and slight variations in the finish. This is normal and inherent to the FDM 3D printing process. I strive to ensure my items are of the highest quality possible by the FDM process.
